Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set the conditions for using Upland Residents Directory. Accessing or using the pages means you accept them. If those conditions are not acceptable, do not use the reference.

1. The Reference and Its Role

Upland Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning people who live or have lived in Upland, California. No government record is hosted here, and the reference is not affiliated with an office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Permitted Use

Use these pages and anything reached through them only in a lawful way. Prohibited uses include:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

The reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the material here nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Destinations

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own policies and terms. We do not control or take responsibility for their content, availability, prices, or data practices.

5. Disclaimers of Warranty

The pages are supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that the material is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will function or produce a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from these pages or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record reached through them.

7. Your Responsibility to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Copying

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed quotations are welcome. Republishing whole pages or copying the content systematically is not permitted.

9. Revisions

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after a revision is posted means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference, with or without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The public-records material referenced on the pages is subject to the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 et seq.; that law governs the custodian's records, not the operation of this private reference.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
